Going to Baguio ( Travelogue)
Around August 2022 me and my grandma decided to go to Manila for my birthday. It was quite late at night when we arrived at manila but good thing there was an old student of my grandma that i picked us up from the airport and we stayed at their place for one night.
The next morning after having our breakfast and saying our goodbyes we pack our stuff to go to my grandmas friends house. As we were going to the terminal, there were a lot of people and trash everywhere. Ive been to manila plenty of times but i still cant get used to the environment there, i still really prefer Iloilo.
When we arrived at my grandmas friends house, her house was like a building, it had 3 floors and a rooftop. Though what ive noticed is that most houses in manila are like buildings, probably because manila isnt very spacious so they can only settle for building like houses.
After unpacking our stuff and only putting some items that were neccessary, we waited until the evening because we are leaving for baguio. Around 10 we went to a termilar to wait for a bus after an hour of waiting there was finally a bus available we immediately go a ticket and went in.
When the clock hits 12 the bus finally started and we were finally off to baguio. Since the travel is around 5 hours and it was already midnight most of the passengers were asleep including us. So the ride to baguio was pretty peaceful.
Around 6 in the morning we finally arrived at baguio. When i steppef out of the bus i immediately felt the chilly and cool air. I was really happy because im finally here! Im at baguio! But before we explore, me and my grandma first ate a karinderya. After having our fill we went at the park called burnham park.
The park was really beautiful. There were many pretty flowers and big trees. The area was also very clean and tidy. At the park there were lots of activities to do, like at the big lake there a duck shaped like boats that you can use to row around the area and to the other side of the park theres bikes that you can rent out for a few minutes to an hour so you can explore the park better.
There were also food stalls but my favorite there was the strawberry taho. Unlike the typical taho theirs is strawberry flavored. It was still hot when we bought one. The taste was sweet but not too sweet just the way i like it.
After we were done roaming around burnham park we went to a place called stone kingdom. True to its name it was a kingdom made out of stones. Though we didnt stay for too long, after taking a few pics we left and went to Minesview.
When arrived we first had to pay for the entrance for around 20 pesos. After paying we went inside and the view that Minesview had to offer was beautiful. Other than the coldness in the air, the view of the mountains was really mesmerizing. After taking pictures and looking around.
Moving on to the mountains we went to another park called wright park. Before entering the park there would a row of flowers surrounded by flowers and a fountain welcoming you. I let the scenery sink in to me because everything was just beautiful. After arriving to the park, my grandma sat down at the bench and i went to the stores to buy souveniers.
We didnt really intend to stay long at baguio since our time was limited. So when the sun was already setting, we got back to the terminal to line up for a bus back to manila. After a few minutes of waiting we were finally able to get a ticket to a bus and we immediatly got in, in fear of the bus leaving us behind. Around 5:30 the engine of the bus started moving and we were on the road heading back to manila. Baguio is my favortie place now, i hope i can come back and visit the place again.
Never been in Baguio. I hope I can visit that place too.
